Has anyone tried to use the Hyatt gift cards to pay for a Hotel stay? Can I use more than one card to pay for my Hotel Bill. Are they redeemable at all Hyatt Hotel locations?
on 07/05/14
You need to make sure that the Hyatt you're interested in actually participates in the gift card program. If you click on the card above (the green title actually), it'll take you to the page. Look down for the small print where it will say something like "participating locations". Check out and see if the location you want to stay at will accept the card. Then you should call that actual location and find out for sure what you can use the card for at that location. If you want to use it to pay for your room, ask them if you can use it for such transactions BEFORE you use your Swagbucks to get the card!

Click on the "terms and agreements section, not the green title!"

If the Hyatt you're interested in does NOT participate, you're next best bet is to exchange your Swagbucks for PayPal cash and use the cash to pay for your hotel room. Either way, you'd still get the room for free! The nice part about using PayPal to pay for the room is that if the hotel offers and advanced booking discount, you can get that and pay for the room with your PayPal credit thereby saving even more money. You CANNOT use these Hyatt gift cards to pay for a reservation made that uses the advanced booking savings discount! Just a heads up!

Though if you're a AAA member, that special rate is usually similar to the Advanced Purchase rate, and Hyatt Places will often throw breakfast as part of the AAA rate.

Thanks guys. I called and asked. Since I don't have my paypal linked, I went ahead and booked with the AAA discount, it's only slightly more. I redeemed enough Swaggies for 2 diff hotel stays when I cruise out of Miami at Christmas time : )

I've already started saving to pay for a RCI cruise for next year with my Swagbucks rewards.

Can you use these gift cards towards the actually hotel cost of staying overnight? Or is this just for goods from the hotel? Can you use more than one card to use and stack them?

From the Hyatt T&C, it would seem to work-

Can multiple certificates be combined for use during one stay?
Yes. For example, Hyatt Nights Certificates of up to five nights each can be combined for even longer stays. Or a Check, Stay or Weekend certificate can be used for accommodations, and combined with a Hyatt Gift Card (in the U.S., Canada and Caribbean only) for other charges, including incidentals such as daily resort fees.
