I know most people are superficial and I probably should, but my actions/work should speak for itself and not how I look. I hate companies that emphasize on looks and wardrobe/attire. It should only matter if your doing face to face customer service otherwise why would anyone care?

Another lame question for a poll. It'd be nice if y'all would only post relevant questions as polls.

I think everyone should be comfortable, so if that means not getting up early and throwing makeup on or nice non wrinkled clothes, then i think its not that important to look your best everyday.... When people say, it depends on -this or that- well depending on things is different than everyday things... Either you need to look your best everyday or you dont.. :) just my thought

So the fact that NO ONE 'needs' to look their best EVERY DAY means NOTHING in your world!?
Consider...
It's Saturday... no plans, no need to look my best.
It's Sunday... goin' to church, need to look my best.
This is just an example of the fact that no one needs to look their best each day.
The final result; this question is extremely lame and never should've been made live as a poll.

I think it depends a lot on your definition of "looking your best". If by it, you mean full body care/make-up regime and dressed up, no, I don't, unless you're in a profession that demands it. If you mean getting dressed and being presentable regardless of whether or not you're leaving the house, yes, I think that's a good thing (although I fail in that regard far more often than I care to admit!)

Looking good has a lot to do with feeling good, so I think it's important to look you best so you can feel your best.

not in my 20's anymore so, unless it is a night out or special occassion, i do not feel i need to look my best every day. i do feel i need to look presentable though. i like comfort over style now, getting old really changes you lol i used to never ever leave my home with out looking my best no matter what i was doing. now, eh... lol

I'm 20 and I'm not a style over comfort girl. Even when I dress up and look my best I'm not gonna wear heels or anything uncomfortable just to look good. You can't feel good looking good if what your wearing is uncomfortable.

I think you should try and look your best you never know what each day bring and also what opportunities you may encounter, plus a lot of people feel better and even perform their jobs and daily tasks better if they feel good about themselves and looking good each day or at least trying to may help them.

My rules are thus.

Look my best for: My upcoming immigration hearing.
Look presentable for: Service calls with major clients.
Look presentable-ish (some leeway allowed) for: Service calls with PITA clients.
Look like a slob for: Showing up at the office. (It's one of the perks of owning the company.)
Showering is optional for: Any day where the total hours I've slept over the last three days is <= 7.

I believe that "it depends" means if you're going somewhere special, yes, but if you're just like going to the gas station or running sweaty errands, no.

Yes. I like to look my best before I step out that front door for the day. I am a man and I have been using lotions and facial moisturizer for years ever since I was 17 years old. I am now 49 and age is gradually showing, but I still want to look my best. I do vitamins & minerals, fruit shakes, but I have lost the interest to exercise so much. That's because of the amount of testosterone I have lost due to age. I will always want to look my best. People are so rude these days when they see your face.

I don't wear make up &I dont really like the idea of waking up every morning &wasting time dong it, but I do like spending time on my hair it just depends on the occasion for example, if I'm going to school id just leave my hair the way it is &juzt put some anti-frizz serum or something.

One of my Grandmothers was a French Canadian woman who believed in feeding her family and keeping her home clean.
The other Grandmother was from Massachusetts and thought we must be ladies and never spit in the street, never wear red and yellow together and don't, for god's sake whistle.

I am more like the French Canadian Grandma who had her priorities right and didn't worry about stupid stuff like being a 'lady'.
I must admit, however, I never spit in the street.

Being high maintenance is a personality flaw in my book. Women who clack and jingle with all their jewelry, making me sneeze with their insufferable perfumes, leaving makeup dust in the air lol... Just silly to me.

It's really ugly when girls wear 2 lbs of makeup like celebrities do. I don't understand why girls wear so much sometimes. It's also really disgusting when ladies make their nails really long like 1-6 inches and they paint them red. I don't know if they try to scare people or to be pretty. To all the ladies out there. Don't wear makeup... It doesn't look very good.

That doesn't even make sense. Some people wear makeup and you don't even know it. I'm assuming you're not a girl? You can only really notice badly applied makeup, or if too much is worn. You'd be surprised how many people use makeup...
