You're stupid and you don't realize that this could pay for all of those things
You're a deadbeat who does not contribute to the system
You're a student
You have some ridiculously high debt

i would love to go to Miami, fl. i have two grown children and they both live there now. My son is in the air force and is stationed there. i haven't seen him in person since he got back from afganistan a year and half ago. i have saw him on video chat on facebook. my daughter went down there to try to find a better job after she graduated from siu last summer. this was the first mother's day i didn't get to see either one of my children so, i would love a vacation with spending money to see my kids. i have cerebral palsy(i worked when i was younger) as i have gotten older it seems like it has gotten harder and harder to get around. i am now living on social security. i do have a little bit of money sat aside foe emergencies such as medicines but, not there isn't enough for a vacation

My rent paid for 3 months. That $3,300 I would save would pay off my late dog's vet bills and leave me debt free!

Dream vacation WITH spending money? Hello Bruxelles, Paris and Granada!! Champs-Elysees, don't mind if I do. Oh, exclusive labels? But of course! Flamenco dresses, skirts, castanets AND SHOES!? *sigh* Yes, I'll take the dream vacation anytime. Financially, this makes the most sense for me out of all the options. My above dream vacation would cost close to $4000 WITHOUT spending money. Much more than I'd get back in taxes, rent paid, and free gas COMBINED. Also, it doesn't sense to pay back a lot of debt, just to go back INTO debt over a vacation- this dream vacation costs more than the debt I owe, hahahah.

Too many people living outside of reality and choosing instant gratification over reason. It seems silly to choose a 2 week vacation only to come back afterwards to credit card and loan debt. I’ll take my taxes back, thank you very much! Then I can pay off my credit and loan debts improving my FICO, which in turn will improve my borrowing status, then I can refinance my mortgage for a better rate, trade-in my gas guzzler for a more economical hybrid without being screwed on the payments and start saving towards my dream vacation :)

It seems you've not considered the possibility that the bills are getting paid but a vacation could be extremely appreciated. Thus... take the vacation then get home and continue working to get those bills paid.

Not all of us are in that boat. My house will be paid off in August, and I have no credit card debt. Yes, the 2 years of taxes would be nice for some, but we earned so little over the last 2 years with my husband underemployed that we got most of what we paid in back plus earned income credit. A 2 week vacation sounds great when compared to that.

That certainly makes sense for people who do have debt. I don't have debt, and I don't own anything apart from my car. My salary isn't that high currently either; the tax earnings would primarily help people who have high incomes. An all expense paid vacation would be worth much more to me than any of the other options.

Logically speaking if most people on these boards work full time the amount they pay in taxes on earnings is much more than any of the other options.... with the exception of a "dream" vacation since that essentially could cost BIG BUCKS.

I would have totally done the same thing if I was still in university. It was 95mi a day with gas nearly $5/gallon. At one point it was 120mi. At least my car was mostly economical- 30-35mpg and I could get unleaded. My poor boyfriend drove 30mi/day but his car got 12mpg!!

Cutting my student loans in half would be nice, but they're not big enough to make much difference.
Having my taxes back would be good, but I don't make very much money, so this wouldn't be much, either.
I would really love to travel and see the world, and experiences bring more long-term happiness than money or things, so I would choose the vacation.
