the stores here have the policy to take the coupons if they scan in. They will not manually enter the printed coupons. Have you tried everywhere in the USA? Somehow I seriously doubt it. Here in Lexington, KY we can say yes :)

I'm in hilton head south carolina and I can load coupons onto my card and they stack with the printed ones from the computer. Wal mart, publix, bilo, harris teeter all take printed coupons. Once at wal mart they told me they did not accept them and I went on their web site and found out they do so I make them take them.

I think you are just expressing surprise/frustration that you've had no luck with this while others obviously had. Surely you know what yes means, so you know why they clicked it, so I think you're just wondering why you haven't found places to accept your coupons. I wonder if it could be the quality of the printing? Maybe low ink? Just a wild guess.

I can understand what you're saying. No store in my area takes printed coupons anymore, not even from their own company websites. They were all hit too hard by the hardcore couponers and decided to just refuse them to help keep from having their shelves stripped bare. I know of friends who can still use them in other areas of the US, but not a single store here accepts them anymore.
wilsonhill
on 11/17/13
If the stores have coupons on their website, then surely you can print them and redeem them.
I struggle to find that you live in an area where NO stores take coupons.
All major drug store chains accept them, all major grocery store chains do as well.

Perhaps you mean they no longer DOUBLE coupons, due to abuse by customers. But they get reimbursed by the companies for the face value plus a handling fee (usually 8 cents per coupon) for accepting manufacturer coupons.

I use them at Walmart, HEB(Texas only grocery store)Randalls(savemart), Target, Walgreens, CVS, Hobby Lobby, JoAnne Fabric, all accept home printed coupons in Ca and Texas, so while you can say your area doesn't you can't say no one, the poll clearly shows you to be wrong.

Actually, this person said, "I don't know how ANYONE can say yes, no place I go anywhere in the USA & Hawaii will accept them, why do you click yes??".

Some of us can say yes because we do live in areas where there are coupons accepted. Saying "I don't know how ANYONE can say yes," means s/he is judging others' personal experience.
KiKiLittle

she simply asked a question. Obviously her experiences conflict with other peoples experiences. She wasn't saying people are wrong, she was just confused. I don't know why you feel the need to interpret it negatively.

WalMart, KMart,AFES, BX, Market Place Foods, Cash Wise and Target have ALL accepted computer printed coupons, in fact I have used printed along with manufactures coupons and they have used them both together for 1 product and if I can use them in N.D. I am pretty sure you could use them in other areas of this country too!

I' m not sure if we are allowed to mention names, but a BIG retailer always give me and my sister problems about the printed coupons. They say if they don't scan, they can't take them. All it is, is that they are too lazy to punch in the codes. I had a free product and they already marked in the price and then it didn't scan so they gave it back to me. I asked a manager how I was supossed to take it to another store and use it and she just said, "white it out". I never did get to use it and the manger kept my reciept and I needed to take back motrin because instead of having the 2 bottles like it was supossed to in it, it had 1. I was then screwed for my extra bottle of motrin too. So it double screwed me. I got it from a legit company and told them about it. They want me to call the, so now more of my time invested in this.I start to wonder if it is worth the tie and effort anymore. I have always enjoyed saving money, but now it is costing me , instead of s

You mean that location of a big retailer gives you problems. If you went to a different location of the same chain, you might not have the same trouble. Some stores are better run than others even when they belong to the same retailer.

We have a few stores that do not take coupons... I am hardly ever in them. I use coupons as if they are actually money. I combine store sales with store coupons AND manufacture coupons in order to get items I need free or nearly free. But when stores do not take the coupons I tend to stay away from them. just because stores are said to be 'discount stores' it doesn't mean their prices are truly good. Walmart has CrockPots for $30... for the same CrockPot its $45 at the discount store. That really drives me nuts. I do not consider discount stores a discount when they are more expensive and or when coupons are not taken.

I used an internet printed $1 cpn. for Naked Juice today plus in the same order used a $2 Lindt cpn. I however, am old school & would rather use cpns. from the Sunday inserts as I can use 5 of them at a time to double them to save even more $$. Example: Yakasobi bowls are $1, I use 5-50c cpns. that double to $1 so they are free.

Yes, but Wal-Mart may be on the way out of doing it (at least where I live) because of a recent experience I had there. One of the cashier's had to ask a manager 'Are we still doing these'? Thankfully, they were accepted.

If you check the WalMart coupon policy on their website, there are certain types of coupons they don't take. Your cashier was probably just confused. Some are not as well trained as others.

So far I've had pretty good luck with printed coupons. I can even use them at the Walmart neighborhood market down the street in the self check-out. I was pretty happy when that worked. That's sad that some areas don't have any stores that accept them. I don't buy the newspaper so I don't get coupons that way. It's nice to be able to print them out.
