Ive saved hundreds of animals in my area. Me and a group of friends go out on weekends and pick of strays. That's stray dogs, cats, and other animals we find on our searches.

I was suicidal after my son died and started cutting on myself to relieve the emotional pressure. My husband and daughter didn't know what to do and I was headed towards really hurting myself. I had a friend who was a psych nurse who knew to get me evaluated and placed on a 72 hour hold. I credit her with saving me from myself to this day.

I'm very sorry for your lost. To lose a child is very painful. God Bless your family and friend for being there to love and support you. Most are not so lucky.

I should have read this before answering Never. I've been finding crickets in my room (my window is open) and just pick them up and put them outside. I've also done this with spiders even though I'm terrified of them.

My husband and I rescued a badly abused dog from the local shelter, she's doing beautifully and is really a wonderful dog. She has a bit to go before she is completely trusting, but her progress has been amazing.

My dog stole a chicken wing from the dinner table and started choking on the bone. I had to pull some of the pieces out of his throat. fortunately he managed to swallow the rest of it

My oldest daughter was choking when she was 6 years old and I saved her. I didn't think she was going to make it because she was already turning purple. That is something you never forget. I had to do this many times with her. She was prone to choking since she was born. My youngest daughter was born with no immune system and so was not expected to live. Saving her was a daily thing. I had to clean the house by using a disinfectant everyday when she was at home. She lived in a hospital for almost 10 years in a tent with oxygen blown in. She finally started getting some antibodies and could come home more often. We moved from the city into the country and she really did very well. She is at swagbucks too. She got me started here.

The way I have saved others was not from a physical problem.. well maybe.. but more of the mind set..
Several have been in the process of committing suicide.. what happened is i was either able to get help to them before they died, was able to talk them out from completing there quest, or just got to them before they offed them selves.

Sometimes it only takes one person to walk into a life to make a difference for several..

A little dog was walking on the road when I was walking home from school cars would pass it buy I was afraid that if I left it, it would get hit by a car so I picked it up and brought it to home it had a collar with a phone number so I called and returned it safe to its owner.

I saved a baby blue jay once. It had fallen out of the nest, and a male bluejay was swooping and pecking its head. WHen I saw this I stopped my car immediatley got out and bundled it in a towel. His head was a little bloody. Luck should have it that there was a bird sanctuary near by where I lived at the time. They took it in...

I've saved the lives of many animals, and my little sister once..won't go into the details of the animals, but my when my little sister was 2, she was in one of those sit-up floaty devices for a pool. The other kids were splashing around, and I was watching from the window. She somehow flipped herself over, legs stick up in the air, head stuck down under the water. None of the other kids even noticed. I dashed out the door, off the deck, climbed the ladder and dove into the pool and saved her. I was only nine at the time. <3

Not exactly, but in a way. I've adopted animals and taken them in off the street. Not exactly heroic, but it makes a big difference for those animals.

When I was 4 or 5 years old I was in my grandparents pool (an above ground 4 footer) with my dad who cant swim. He slipped and went under water. After a couple seconds I yelled to my mom, "daddy went underwater and won't come back up!", she came running jumped in and pulled him out. Love u daddy!

I saved my mom's life. The whole family went to Rhode island to the beach for the day. Later my mom went in the water and she wasn't even that far, but she was a short lady. She fell down as a big wave came and couldn't get up. Each time she tried to get up another big wave kept knocking her down. I saw her struggling, so I rushed over to her to drag her out of the water and I know I saved her life, thank God...Love you mom, she passed now back in 2008...Miss her so much <3
