Volume is too loud and bad for your ears, floor is messy and sticky due to people spilling popcorn and drinks, people making noises during the movie, cheaper to just buy the dvd/blueray when it comes out. Yeah...I think I'll stick with buying dvd and blueray.

You're missing out! Seeing films in theatres is quite a wonderful experience, especially with some films.

Me too. I don't like movie theaters. It's too expensive, and I rather be at home and watch a movie.

My record for seeing one movie in the theatre was 12 for "The Two Towers". That was when my husband first started dating me, so apparently his way of winning my heart was to put up with watching that movie more times than any sane person should. (Apparently it worked, since we're married and I got him into Tolkien, so win-win.) I think I saw "Fellowship of the Ring" eight times and "Return of the King" six. I miss being a high school/college kid with disposable income at a time when movies were a lot cheaper than they are now!

Actually, wait, no, that answer's wrong! I forgot that they re-released the trilogy in the theatre a year or so ago and I was able to see FotR and TTT again. So my record is actually 13 times for that one.

I get semi-free tickets through TrialPay all the time, so I go a lot. They show classics, operas, and plays at my favorite theater. It's pretty sweet; I saw "Vertigo" about a month ago. :)

I'm a member of GoFoBo and screen new movies all the time. One drawback is that you need to stand in line for about an hour and a half to make sure that you'll get a seat. First come, first serve, so if you're way ahead
in the line, you never have to worry about getting a seat!

Once is generally enough, but I saw Titanic 8 times when it was in the theaters (although to be fair, it was in the theaters for about a year). Then I saw it once in 3D. I've seen several movies a couple or a few times, because there used to be $1 theaters where I used to live, with food and drink, etc., so we used to catch favorite movies there all the time. I also saw Velvet Goldmine 4 or 5 times in regular-run theaters, mostly with different friends who hadn't seen it yet. I loved that movie when it came out, though I haven't seen it in years. Spectacular eye candy. I think Jonathan Rhys Meyers always overacts and/or acts poorly, but it sort of worked for that role; weirdly put-on and exaggerated.

I took my son to see The Lorax when I got free passes from work. It was the first time I had been to a theater in years and I did not like it! I would rather stay home and watch a movie on demand, on dvd, or on my dvr! I like being able to pause and rewind, get whatever I want to eat, and use the bathroom without climbing over people and missing important parts of the movie!

Do you mean when you buy rewards with your earned Swagbucks? Just go to the Swag Store and you can use your points (NOT real money) to earn FREE money (gift cards). You only use your actual money off-site (like Amazon, Target, etc.).

I'm pretty sure I saw "Finding Nemo" three times when it came out, but other than that, I don't really go to movies unless my bf wants to, and I usually don't go more than once; too expensive, especially 3D. I try to go to matinee shows, when possible, to save a little money, and skip 3D (it gives me headaches anyway) if I can.
A local Regal Cinema has a $5 Tuesday any movie, any time deal, but I don't live close enough.

Oh yeah, when I was 10 I saw Grease three times but that was only because my parents (not realizing the length of it) saw Apocalypse Now in the theater next door. I came out to concessions about 10 times asking if that movie was over yet. I knew the songs by heart at the end, lol. At least that too was a good movie. :)
