The best of the best is the computer. You can Surf the Internet, download and watch movies and TV shows from all over the world...for FREE!It takes a bit opf searching, but you CAN find the same stuff that a pay service offers, for free. You can even hook up your computer with a giant screen TV and get a panoramic view of everything! With a computer you can read without eyestrain, play games (Casual, Hardcore, and MMOGs), hang out with your friends, and chat with people living in far away countries for free. There are no long distance charges! You can design and publish your own websites and blogs, take college courses, enjoy lectures, learn a foreign language...I always tell my husband, if you've got a good computer, a big screen monitor, and a fast, broadband internet connection, you no longer need a TV. I prefer to interact with my device, rather than just stare blankly at a TV Screen for hours on end. And, don't even get me started about those 15 minute Info-mercials!

I haven't owned a TV for over 8 years. The only reason I'd get one is to hook up my laptop to it ;)

If you like to watch free movies and shows to download or just watch from site check out Kickasstorrents.com , which is my favorite and Crackle.com which has great movies to watch for free right on the website with no downloading. I also just found another website that you can read brand new books and search for whatever you want to read. You can read without downloading anything too, which is cool. I'm new to the site so I don't know to much about it but if anyone wants to check it out it's called www.OnRead.com

The Smart Phone, the eReader, Tablet, etc. - are okay, if you're away from home, and you're bored, looking for some way to pass the time, but, when it comes to entertainment value, they are NOTHING when compared to a good computer (PC or Mac). On the smart Phone, and eReader, & some Tablets, the screen is just too small. Watch a full length movie on that Smart Phone (or handheld gaming device, such as the PSP) and you're going to end with with screwed up vision for the remainder of the day! I watched a movie on my PSP (Playstation Portable), which is larger than the average Smart Phone, by the way, and by the time that movie was finished, my eyes were so badly strained, I could barely see anything at all! I also had a horrendous headache!

Hey question about how this all works?? I have seen past posts about "one account per user" and I totally get that, but my question is your allowed to have other family members in the same house using the same internet access wifi sign up for their own account. Do all accounts have to be refferaled and therefore linked together?? Im new to this and the ins and outs, I set up and account and my wife did too and we both use the same wifi through are phones for the swagbucks tv its worked great to get us some bucks, but today she signed in and it worked fine then I signed in to my account on my own phone and it said I had reached my daily limit??? Please help we don't want our accounts suspended she has a lot of bucks

To continue; If we continue to use these devices the way we are now, our future generations are going to have to rely on white canes and service dogs, because they are ALL going to be hopelessly nearsighted! Here's a bit of trivia for you...Before people began reading from the printed age, there was NO SUCH THING AS NEARSIGHTEDNESS! That's right! Reading pages of printed, small words has caused our vision to degrade badly. eReaders are not nearly as good as a book because you need to be in "just the right light" for a clear image. If you're in bright sunlight, you aren't going to be able to see the text at all! And, by the time you finish reading from that eReader, you're going to have that same kind of eyestrain as you'll get from watching a movie on a screen that size (most eReaders have 7 inch screens).

Paul, writer of many letters/books of the New Testament, was presumed near sighted due to a comment he wrote saying, "see what large letters I have written with my own hand," and because he had to use someone else to write for him in spite of there being those who were maliciously writing letters in his name. Chances are people have been near sighted throughout the ages, but without corrective lenses of some sort, they didn't do much writing or reading.

My guess is nearsightedness didn't "not exist", but it either got more common/ more severe or there were medical advances to actually know it was a thing- which made it seem like it just came about

Kindle Keyboard 3G. It has free 3G on it and the web browser on it works on the 3G, as well as the wifi. It's just an ereader, so it doesn't have flash (so no online videos, audio, games, etc...) but all other basic web browsing, it works great. It pulls up full versions of web pages, but mobile versions of pages work best. I can do the daily poll, searches on it, surf the site, enter swag codes, shop in rewards store and redeem prizes. I can't do the NOSOs anymore. :o( It opens in a new window/tab and kindle won't open links that open in a new tab/window. Not on my laptop nor wifi everyday, maybe once or twice a week, or whenever I get out. Oh well.

I really spend an equal amount on the computer and the gaming device (which in my case is the PS3, love it allot better than the Xbox) and I consider myself a gamer, the second i figure out how to make gaming vids (and of course once i have the stuff to do it) I will be putting them up on my youtube acc and hopefully get lots of subscribers like SpeirsTheAmazingHD, obviously I'm nowhere as cool as he is.

Gaming consoles are great for entertainment and efficiency, and give you a lot of options...IF YOU SPEND THE $60 per year for XBox Live, or pay for PLAYSTATION Network! If you can't afford that, then both devices are nothing more than game consoles, and all you can do is play games. Yeah, there ARE the Silver Memberships (XBoxLive) and the Free Version of Playstation Network, but those are so limited that they are practically useless. You can't do much of anything aside from look at some game demos and freeware.

I don't pay for playstation network, but I mostly use my PS3 to stream Netflix.
