What about Cash, wire transfer and bitcoin? All are online methods of payment... At least a "other" category would be nice.

I always use debit. If you're worried about security issues get a one time use card number like I do. It works and I don't have a bill that I may or may not pay at month's end.

No. You can get an Amazon gift card with your swagbucks. Under rewards you can get a $5 Amazon gift card with 450 swagbucks.

The way you can earn swagbucks while shopping on Amazon is to access Amazon via this site (Swagbucks.com), and a little thing pops up that says, "You will earn 2 swagbucks per dollar in the following categories." My problem is the same as jcpilz; I don't tend to purchase items in the right categories.

But, you can earn free donated monies using non profit partners of Amazon like Sierra Club that earns between 4-8 1/2 percent at no cost to you.

I would never trust dwolla, or anything handling money that is connected to a social network. Especially Facebook! It is one of the most insecure widely used sites there are. Facebook accounts are so terribly easy to hack.. Connecting your credit card, or any kind of money-sending tool to facebook is like saying "SOMEONE! PLEASE STEAL MY MONEY!"

Credit cards aren't bad. No reason for folks to act as if not using credit makes them better than someone else. When it comes time to making a major purchase, it's nice to pay off a car or home in smaller increments instead of saving up for it in cash only.

debit is treated the same as credit in regards to online purchases. you don't enter your pin number do you? then it's being run like a credit card
CJMGrafx
on 06/30/13
You are correct, but there is that one huge distinction... to use my debit card, I must already have the cash on hand and not use credit. You would think a poll like this would have an option for cash or debit cards with the other choices that were included.

As KansasCityGirl mentions - debt is not a good thing.

I use my credit card only if I have the money in the bank to pay right away. I actually make money with my credit card because I get cashback and no fees. So my credit card and my bank pay me to use their services. Sweet.

There's nothing wrong with having a credit card. It's funny how those without one use the excuse that they aren't in debt. Some people are responsible and like to build up their credit to buy a house with a credit card or use it for convenience, pay their bills on time, and never spend more than they have. I have never spent more than I had available on my credit card, and it is never a temptation to do so. Don't always assume the worst in people just because their is the option to abuse it. Some people just don't. I use it as opposed to cash because if I carry cash I will spend it all for no good reason. It keeps me from being stupid.

Having a credit card isn't a bad thing. Some people use it to build up credit for big necessities- like a house. Others use it for convenience and never spend more than they have, which is exactly what I do.
