Adele is done chasing pavements on 'Rolling in the Deep,' the first single from her sophomore album '21,' slated for a Feb. 22 release.

"You'll wish you, never had met me," her back-up singers chant behind her chorus. 'Rolling in the Deep' is sung from the perspective of a scorned lover, who is finally able to see the light, but despite regretful sentiments, reconciliation is not an option here.

"The scars of your love remind me of us they keep me thinking that we almost had it all / The scars of your love, they leave me breathless / I can't help feeling we could have had it all / Rolling in the deep / You had my heart inside of your head / And you played it to the beat."

Adele is set to premiere the video for 'Rolling in the Deep' in early December, and will perform the single live on 'The Ellen Degeneres Show' on Friday, Dec. 3.

"I discovered lots of artists I'd never heard of, particularly Wanda Jackson, Allison Krauss, Yvonne Fair, Andrew Bird, Neko Case, Lady Antebellum and Steel Drivers, who I fell in love with," the British soul singer said about her new album. "Then I delved in to more from artists I've loved forever -- Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, Elbow, Mos Def, Alanis Morissette, Tom Waits and Sinead O'Connor. There's something in every single one of these artists that have really really inspired '21.'"
