Most businesses require their customer service representatives to undergo a degree of training so as to uphold company policy while seeing to consumer needs. Whether you’re applying as a virtual assistant, customer service agent, support agent, call center agent or something else entirely, remote jobs will need some new knowledge. 


The good news is that most of this training can already be done through the computer. If you’re working from home, you’ll need to set a designated time to complete your training before you can start clocking more hours. With the right communication skills, this introduction to remote work shouldn’t be awkward.


How Do Companies Pay Remote Customer Service Employees?


If you’re working with an established organization, you’ll likely be able to sign up for a direct deposit. This way, you won’t have to worry about losing any of your checks to PayPal’s usage fee. However, if you’re working with a smaller business or a startup, you may find yourself using lesser-known payroll apps or platforms like PayPal with relative frequency.

If you do end up using PayPal, be sure to talk to your manager about the different ways you can overcome the transaction fee. PayPal will take a percentage of your paycheck – not for tax reasons, but rather for as payment for your use of the platform. Ideally, your supervisor will know this and will be able to work that fee into your paycheck, so you can take home all of the money you’ve earned.
